# MongoDB Cloud Account Setup

Satori’s Data Discovery capability enables you to scan your MongoDB Atlas account and automatically discover MongoDB clusters. Perform the following steps to connect Satori to your MongoDB Atlas account.

## Prerequisites

Before you start, ensure that you have the following:

- You must have access to your MongoDB Atlas account with permissions to manage access.

You will need the following:

- The **MongoDB Project ID**
- An **API Key (Public Key and Private Key)** with access to the desired cluster(s)
- The **Username** for the MongoDB user account that will be used for discovery

## Configuring a MongoDB Atlas Cluster

Perform the following steps to set up and connect Satori to your MongoDB Atlas account.

1. Go to the **Settings / Cloud Accounts** view and click the plus button to add a cloud account.
2. Select the **MongoDB** option.
3. Enter a descriptive name for this integration in the **Name** input field.

Perform the MongoDB-specific inline instructions as they appear in the **Add new cloud Account** view:

**Step 1: Select Data Access Controller**
- Choose the cloud provider and region of the DAC for the discovery process

**Step 2: Insert your Atlas Credentials**
- Enter the API public key for accessing the MongoDB Atlas Admin API and then enter the corresponding private key
